What we collect from candidates

• Profile details you enter: name, age, gender, location, education, university, experience, expected salary.
• Your CV, if you upload one.
• Your interview answers and the questions asked.
• Session fairness signals: tab and app switches with their duration, paste events and their size, typing speed and backspace counts, first-keystroke timing, device fingerprint, and IP-derived country/ASN.

The fairness signals exist to detect cheating. They are not used for advertising and they are never sold.

Who can see it

The HR staff and the manager reviewing you at the company that invited you. They see the same information about every candidate — nothing extra about you. Platform administrators can see anonymised totals and technical diagnostics, not your individual answers.

How long we keep it

Candidate records — answers, CV and session data — are retained for 12 months from the interview date, then deleted automatically. Debug screenshots submitted through the “report a problem” widget are kept for 6 months. Anonymous platform analytics are kept for 24 months.

Automated decisions

The system scores answers and produces a recommendation. It never rejects anyone automatically. A human reviews the report and makes the decision. Gender and age are collected for information only and are never inputs to any score. You may ask the company to override any outcome.

AI processing

Interview answers are processed by an AI model provider to generate questions and grade responses. Your name is not sent to the model — only the conversational content needed to ask the next question. Uploaded CVs are processed the same way to extract employment history.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of anything wrong, or early deletion. Ask the company that invited you — they control your record — or contact us at privacy@jobinterview.maahir.io and we will action it within 30 days.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Interview links are high-entropy and stored hashed. Uploaded files are validated by content type and size, stored outside the repository, and served as non-indexable. Every staff action — viewing, exporting, sharing or overriding a candidate record — is written to an audit log.
